Date, Apricot and Walnut Loaf Cake
The first full day of fasting for Ramadan this year is Monday, 12 April, and the last will be Wednesday, 12 May, 2021. Between those days, the millions of people observing the holiday will abstain from food and drink from the meal before dawn (suhoor) to the meal after dusk (iftar).
Because it's recorded in the hadith, a collection of Mohammed's words, actions, and habits, that he always broke the fast with dates and water, Muslims around the world follow this tradition, start iftar in the same way.
Whether you're celebrating Ramadan, hosting or participating in iftar, or just a fan of gooey, caramelly dates (one of the earliest cultivated crops!) here is our recipe:
Date and carrot traybake is a perfect autumn treat – delicious, easy to make and packed with minerals and vitamins, it will cheer up any winter blues! and It's Gluten Free...
This is a completely innovative approach to making millionaire’s shortbread bites, keeping them refined sugar free and therefore more attractive for customers. Golden Date Juice Concentrate (golden date syrup) is used for the biscuit base and Date Nectar (Dark Date Juice Concentrate) for the caramel filling, giving Refined Sugar Free Millionaire’s Shortbread a natural caramel flavour and colour. Compared to a standard recipe, this innovative recipe allows manufacturers to decrease sugar by 31%, and increase fibre and protein by 20% and 14% respectively.
As raw cakes are growing in popularity, particularly in independent bakeries, coffee shops and at home, Marie Nichols has developed a date-nutrition recipe using only natural ingredients. Dates are used to naturally sweeten the cake, add toffee flavour, and to bind the base together. This recipe is vegan and free of refined sugar.
Cookie dough is one of the best treats ever, right? We highly recommend this recipe to any chocolate chip cookie lover!
The great thing about these recipes are that just about anyone could make it and it’s no added sugar!
Staysoft©Date Paste may be the best alternative sweetener you’re not using. Dates are naturally moist and sticky with hints of caramel, brown sugar and soft toffee like texture. These qualities make our Staysoft©Date Paste an excellent alternative to processed sugar bars, cakes, cupcakes, brownies, sticky toffee pudding, sauces, jams and many, many other recipes. Staysoft©Date Paste also has more than a few health advantages over the white (or brown) stuff.
