No Added Sugar Breakfast Drink

A simple, quick and easy recipe to start your morning the right way! The date paste provides all the sweetness in this recipe and adds bulk and a creamy texture.  This recipe can be classed as ‘no added sugar’. Other fruits can be added such as strawberries, banana, apples, pineapples to flavour the smoothie.  This recipe can be made vegan by replacing the milk and yoghurt with other vegan alternative such as oat, soya or almond and coconut milk or yoghurt.

Ingredients

100ml semi skimmed milk

40ml natural yogurt

10g date paste

5g cocoa powder

Method

  1. Combine all the ingredients together in a blender until well combined and smooth
  2. Chill before serving.
